In the twenty-first century, globalization has significantly increased the importance of foreign language education as a strategic component of national development. Foreign language proficiency enables individuals to access global knowledge, participate in international communication, and improve their employment prospects. At the national level, language education contributes to human capital development, economic growth, international cooperation, and cultural exchange. This article examines the role of foreign language education in enhancing human capital and strengthening national competitiveness. Drawing upon contemporary educational theories and recent research findings, the study analyzes the cognitive, academic, economic, and socio-cultural benefits of foreign language learning. The paper argues that investment in foreign language education should be considered a long-term strategy for sustainable development and global integration. The findings indicate that countries that prioritize multilingual education are better positioned to compete in the global economy and foster innovation-driven growth.
